Capital City Sailing Association (CCSA) is a community-focused sailing club that makes the exciting sport of sailing affordable and accessible. With a variety of membership options and club boats available, we strive to make sailing an opportunity for everyone.

Sailing at CCSA is a great way to spend quality time with family and friends. The relaxed, welcoming atmosphere helps foster new connections and lasting relationships. With Binder Lake just west of Jefferson City, it’s easy to get on the water without the need for a long drive.

Whether you’re new to sailing or a seasoned sailor, CCSA offers the perfect setting to enjoy the sport and be part of a vibrant community.

What to bring on your first sail:
•Life Jacket (PFD) Type III, Coast Guard Approved
•Information on allergies / medications
•Gear bag marked with contact info
•A change of dry clothes and towel
•Applied sunscreen and insect repellent
•UV sunglasses
•Closed-toe shoes
•Water bottle
•Snacks
•A sense of adventure
•Curiosity to learn

  • Learn more about community sailing

Sailing at Binder Lake

Our sailing facility is located in Binder Park, a 155 acre lake located west of Jefferson City, MO. The lake is the perfect size for small boat sailing. The surrounding park offers a delightful place for social and recreational activities. CCSA works closely with Jefferson City Parks and Recreation to promote sailing activities.
